Julie is originally from New Zealand, where she qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1993. After working for a year in Wellington she came to the UK to work and travel.
During Julie’s training as a nurse she realised her real passion was with Midwifery and so after working as a nurse for four and a half years, she decided to undergo midwifery training. She graduated from a London university in 1999 and since then has worked as a Midwife both in the UK and New Zealand and enjoyed seeing the differences that each country has to offer.
Julie’s interests are Fetal Medicine and Antenatal Screening. Julie also has a young son which has given her the opportunity to see the other side of the profession and appreciate things from the woman’s point of view.
