Mr Sotiris Vimplis

Mr. Sotiris Vimplis is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Barts Health NHS Trust and the Lead Clinician for colposcopy and gynaecological oncology services at Whipps Cross University Hospital. He undertook his specialist training in London and Mid Trent region and completed special skills training modules in laparoscopic surgery, colposcopy and gynaecological ultrasound. He worked for two years as a Consultant in Obstetrics and gynaecology at Queen’s Medical Centre, University Hospital in Nottingham before moving to London.

Mr. Vimplis has wide experience of treating a range of gynaecological problems including abnormal smear results, irregular bleeding, pelvic pain, fibroids, endometriosis and ovarian cysts. He also offers consultations for well women checks and cervical cancer screening. Much of his surgical expertise is in performing keyhole surgery. He has participated to surgical camps at remote villages in Nepal for charity.
